Saw the World Premiere at Fantasia Festival and it's the BEST sequel of the franchise ! It's full of surprises and twists. Can't wait to get the Blu-ray to see the unrated version.

IT WAS EPIC! Beautifully made, fantastic acting, Chucky....as always horrifying and still got that dark sense of humor....I have been a fan of Child's Play since I was in early grade school if not younger and this movie did NOT disappoint, in fact it dazzled me the in the same way as Child's Play did as a child.....but now 25 years after Chucky first hit the big screen he has come a long way and its definitely where he deserves to be. This is definitely back to Chucky's horror roots and the stuff you see in this film will have you feeling an even greater uneasiness and terror than any one of the films before it. My thanks to Don Mancini, Brad Dourif, Fiona Dourif, Jennifer Tilly, etc for making an amazing, horrific, and fan loving film!!!!!! I have to say the new information as well as the fan nods in this movie made me feel so satisfied I could not have asked for a better film.
Nice return to form.
I just watched the movie this morning on the PlayStation Network and thought it was pretty good. The puppet effects were a little off sometimes, and the computer-generated Chucky (in the scene where he walks down the stairs from the attic) was a little bad. Overall, the movie had a nice, slow build that had me uneasy, which is something I haven't been able to say about Chucky for a while. I also enjoyed the surprise cameos. I'm a little confused as to where this film falls in the series, timeline-wise, but that may be more my fault than the movie's. Also, the ending was creepy. :-)

The Croods (Blu-ray / DVD + Digital Copy)

A perfect family film
This movie was some of the most fun i've had with a movie in a long time. It was hilarious, emotionally deep and original on every turn. The moral and underlining tone is as relevant as ever. Going against everything you know in order to survive and actually live your life is something we all must come to terms with and this movie hits the nail on the head. The graphics are incredible, the soundtrack is heart racing and dialogue is fluidly natural.

From the previews I did not expect it to be this good but I was pleasantly surprised. This is an absolutely perfect family film. It's hilarious, touching and relevant. Everyone should see this movie.
Croods - Taking Notes From Ice Age
I saw this movie at a prescreening event at my local theater. I went in without any expectations as I hadn't seen any of the advertisements other than movie posters. When I left the theater, I was more than pleased. The version showed at the event was in 3D. I found it to be very exceptional as I noticed it the whole way through without getting lost in it. It enhanced my movie going experience with the amount of depth that was perceived. It literally felt like looking into a box.

This is a movie that succeeds as a family movie. In my opinion, there weren't any questionable content at any point in the film. My kids enjoyed it and asked if we could buy it when it comes out.

One thing I did notice about this movie is there many elements taken from the Ice Age franchise. I don't want to divulge too much as to include spoilers but when watching the movie, I recommend you matching this movie against each of the Ice Ages and you will see many similarities...
All I can say is HILARIOUS MOVIE!!!!!!
The previews for this movie made me not want to see it at all, but I ended up taking my niece & nephew to it in the theater (both far apart in ages) and they both LOVED it, and I have to admit I did too! Actually everyone in the theater watching it was cracking up, it has a ton of hilarious lines from every character in it. Best part, it was consistently funny throughout, not just in a couple of scenes, with jokes geared for all ages. A very creative story too with the family obviously (The Croods) who are the last surviving cavemen family. Their curious teenage daughter Eep runs into a more humanly "evolved" guy, actually whose name is Guy who lets her know the world is coming to an end. The Croods are afraid of life where animals hunt you at all times, but when their cave is destroyed in an earthquake, they are forced on a journey with their survival guide, Guy to stay alive. I am baffled by some of these reviewers who are climbing a soapbox about the industry and Lucas. For those of us who are patient, a box set with cost saving and a SPECIAL BONUS!! Slim cases so shelf space is minimized!

About a rush to market, snatching up media related to STAR WARS as soon as it hits the shelf. If you don't like the movies themselves or the packaging or the recording quality that is one thing. Whining about your own gullibility is quite another. Let me clue you in. If Lucas makes or includes special features, enhancements and the like ... he will not fail to promote that. Investigate the product before you buy. And to those of you who didn't even buy any products but are just looking for places to gripe, this is not the appropriate place.

Maniac [Blu-ray]

A side of Elijah Wood that you've never seen before
Banned in New Zealand? You have got to be kidding me. Maniac is a stylish low budget horror film and remake of the original version. This movie is about a man with psychological issues who goes on a rampage killing women and scalping them for mannequins. Different kind of movie.
Rare remake that is worth it.
As a huge fan of the Joe Spinell original, I have to say I was more than impressed with this retelling of one of the more unique horror films from the 80's. I was more than skeptical about the POV style, and of any remakes lately, but Elijah Wood was fantastic as the tortured psychopath. The special effects were great, if you like some good, bloody slasher movie effects, and the overall mood was dark and brooding, the way a slasher film should be. Highly recommended for the old school horror fan.
OUCH! OOOOOH! OH MY GOD!
This is a radical trip of hard core violence and we walk in the maniac's shoes. Elijah Wood plays it just right. Toned down and self-programmed to wear a mask of sanity, he is lives in a secret world of manikins. When he does venture out into our world we see what he sees and there is almost a smooth and sweet quality to the character. As we inhabit his body, it becomes clear the character has a limited time before the mask drops off and his true nature breaks free with ferocity.

The first act of violence is wild and I wondered if this was going to be a film with a repetitive feel, if it was going to be just a body count. But, the character just gets crazier and weirder and each killing is more shocking than the last. There is no speed limit here. When a bitchy agent picks at his peculiarity, she is oblivious to his dark side and laughs at him, forgetting that sometimes the old adage is true- if you don't have something nice to say, don't say anything at all. We're the Millers (Blu-ray+DVD+UltraViolet Combo Pack)

I'll Own This One
Here's a great idea: Create a fake family to smuggle a large amount of pot from Mexico in their family RV. No one would suspect THEM! And these poor simpletons end up with enough marijuana in their vehicle to kill Willie Nelson.

This is one of the funniest (and most profanely vulgar) movies I have seen in a long time. Yes, it's predictable but we were surprised and delighted at every twist and turn along the way. Director Rawson Marshall Thurber ("Dodgeball") made each actor genuinely attractive. I have never found Sudeikis or Aniston so appealing, while Roberts impressed me with her comic timing, and Poulter is in a league of his own.

Here are the amateurs (and the professionals):
* Jason Sudeikis ("Horrible Bosses") is an amateur smuggler; in real life he's a low-end pot dealer, a holdover from his college days.

Well, I could have done without seeing the ginger kids uncircumcised penis, aside from that this was a pretty fun movie. Jason Sudeikis is one of these guys who just gets better and better with every film he does. I used to be a hater, but now I'll see anything that he's in, and We're The Millers is his best movie to date. This story is about a local drug dealer who gets in trouble with his supplier, and the only way out is to become a trafficker. Dave Clark (Sudeikis) decides the best way to do this is to recruit a fake family to make it look like they're just on vacation. The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey (Blu-ray/DVD + UltraViolet Digital Copy Combo Pack)

Wait until Chrismas 2013
Almost clicked the order button, but due to my love of the extended versions of the original trilogy, I decided to do a little research before I made that mistake. in doing so, I discovered that the Blue-Ray/DVD set for release on March 19th will contain only the theatrical version of the movie. Warner Bros is including a teaser trailer containing Dragon Smaug with this version in order to entice people to buy it. The extended version of 'The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey' will be released in time for Christmas 2013. As with the Lord of the Rings Trilogy, Warner Bros. is trying to stick it to the consumer again by hoping people will buy both versions. Sorry, WB... I can wait another nine months. In the meantime, I'll rent a copy to satisfy my urge to see it sooner.

Monster High: 13 Wishes (Blu-ray + DVD + Digital Copy + UltraViolet)

Another excellent Monster High feature.
Monster High: 13 Wishes is yet another step up in quality for the Monster High film series. I was impressed at how much better the editing and story telling was handled. While Friday Night Frights, Why Do Ghouls Fall In Love and Ghouls Rule are all good movies, they are more of an extended Saturday morning cartoon affair. 13 Wishes improves in all ways, without losing the core of what makes Monster High so enjoyable.

Nearly all the guys and ghouls make an appearance in the movie, even if it's just a short cameo. There are also a nice variety of outfits that the ghouls wear throughout the film. The new characters Twyla, Gigi and Wisp are all interesting and likable. The story teaches the importance of appreciating what you have, who you are and the benefits of selflessness. The lessons are taught in an entertaining manner and don't come off like a cheesy Saturday morning special.

I am a twenty seven year old male fan of Monster High and I would gladly recommend...
13 Wishes Awesome
I purchased this DVD today for my daughter. She and I are Monster High fans. We watched the DVD as a family including the hubby. It is really good and we stopped the DVD and discussed how this DVD is related to "real life issues". For example, we all have 2 inner voices: good & evil. Choosing which voice to listen to will determine your journey. Plus, other details, without ruining the movie for those who have not seen it. This dvd has a message for ALL viewers. Enjoy! Highly recommended & good price (to be honest, I purchased my copy from Target & got 5% off).
Amazing!
I love all the movies from Monster High, but this one has such a great sense of pace and build up and all around story. It was definitely my favorite one of them all. 13 Wishes introduces a few new characters(Gigi, Twyla, Whisp), gives us hints at characters to come(Wydowna Spider, Catty Noir), and even has easter eggs of Ever After High. This movie is clever, funny, and somewhat more mature than some of their other titles. I highly recommend it.
